This orchid, when I saw it at the Open House at Hausermann's Orchids in Villa Park, reminded me of that first orchid I saw. Although the orchid was off white, there were so many colors reflecting in it's petals. It reminded me of my childhood which reminded me of my sister. That's why it was named after her.
